A Day to Remember: Brandermill’s Fourth of July Celebration

The Fourth of July celebration in Brandermill is an iconic tradition and widely recognized throughout the community for how extravagant the day is. The Brandermill Community Association is honored to collaborate with all the dedicated volunteers, clubs, groups, sponsors, and more who help make this event possible for everyone to enjoy.

The day begins bright and early with the 7.4K race through the neighborhoods. At 10:00 AM, the parade kicks off with more than 50 entries, making it the largest parade we have ever had.

Following the parade, the celebration continues with a community picnic at Sunday Park. Highlights include:

  • Free hot dogs served by the Boy Scouts
  • Free watermelon slices provided by the Lions Club
  • Free ice-cold drinks
  • Live music from The Gone Drillin Band, playing a mix of country, blues, soul, and classic rock
  • Face painting and balloon art by The Art Factory
  • Classic lawn games such as Jenga and cornhole for friendly competition
  • Local vendors and tents including the Brandermill Community Association, B&K Properties, Art Factory, All Belgium Waffle Truck, and YAW! Baked Baguette Bites
  • A meet and greet with the BCA Board of Directors, where residents can ask questions, share feedback, and pick up a Brandermill history book
  • A cooling station for dogs, complete with baby pools to help pets beat the summer heat

As night falls, the grand finale begins. This year’s fireworks display over the Swift Creek Reservoir is scheduled to start at approximately 9:00 PM or as soon as it is dark enough. With over 4,500 fireworks shells—an incredible increase from last year’s 816—the 2025 show promises to be more spectacular than ever. For the first time, the fireworks will launch from a barge positioned about 200 feet from the Sunday Park dock, providing improved visibility and stunning reflections across the water.

There is truly something for everyone. All are encouraged to come out, celebrate, and enjoy the day with neighbors and friends.
