The Brandermill Boating Center is open!
Want to get out on the water but don’t have your own vessel? Well, our Boating Center is fully equipped with paddleboards, kayaks, canoes, Sun Fish, and Aqua Fin sailboats for rent! All rental boats come with approved personal flotation devices, paddles, and necessary equipment. A rental agreement must be filled out and provided to the BCA office before using any boats. (See boat rental fees below.)

May 25th – September 2nd, 2024:
The Boating Center will not be staffed Monday through Friday. However, rentals may still be reserved on these days; a staff member will meet you at the Boating Center to set up your rental. There are no same-day rentals, so please allow 24 hours’ notice when you rent on a weekday.
How to rent a boat Monday through Friday:
Utilize the online link to purchase a rental, or call the office.
Vessels can be rented from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and must be returned by 5 p.m. Please email Jakob at [email protected] to confirm your rental pickup time. This lets us know when staff should meet you at the Boating Center. Residents must fill out a liability form when they pick up their rental.
Once the rented time slot is up, a staff member will wait to assist the resident with locking up the vessel and storing life vests.
Saturday – Sunday, the Boating Center will be fully staffed, and concessions will be open from 11 am – 5 pm. Cash and cards will be accepted for concessions.
Holidays: Although Memorial Day, July 4, and Labor Day can fall on weekdays, the Boating Center will be fully staffed on these holidays.
Boating Center Boat Rental Fees:
- Sunfish (Personal Sailboat), Canoe, Kayak, Jon Boat — $30/ 2 hours or $50/ all-day
- Paddle Board & Paddle — $30/ 2 hours or $50/ all-day
- American (large sailboat) – $50/ 2 hours or $75/ all-day

The number of passengers for each boat is determined by weight, generally limited to 450 pounds.

Sailing Lessons
Sailing lessons are provided by the Brandermill Sailing Club. They offer sailing lessons in the summer– this session is from June 8th to June 9th. See more information below.
