Reservoir Use Advisory Group (AD HOC)

The first Reservoir Use Advisory Group Meeting will be held on April 11th at 6 pm at the BCA office. All members are encouraged to join.

MISSION:

Dedicated to improving and protecting the BCA’s use of the Swift Creek Reservoir. The Advisory Group will convene or be called upon to review proposed changes to the boating rules and regulations and or protecting the BCA’s use of the Swift Creek Reservoir. To assist in fostering a safe and effective boating environment and use of the Swift Creek Reservoir while maintaining the grand aesthetic of Brandermill.

GOALS:

To advise and assist when called upon to revise the BCA’s boating rules, regulations and use of the Swift Creek Reservoir while following the BCA’s General Covenants, Articles of Incorporation, and design standards.

ADVISORY GROUP POLICIES:

Written minutes will be submitted to the BCA Board of Directors following each meeting of this group. The membership list of the Boating Advisory Group will be updated as required and kept on file at the BCA office.

ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE PROCESSES:

This Advisory Group shall have nine members at full strength, consisting of a Chair and a recording Secretary, which the Advisory Group shall select from within its members that include three (3) pontoon owners, three (3) other boat owners and three (3) non boat owners.

STAFF LIASON:

The BCA Parks & Recreation Manager will serve as staff liaison to this group along with a Board Member.

REVIEW:

This Charter will suffice until the termination date of 12/31/2025 as motioned by the Board of Directors at the January 2024 meeting.
