Safety Reminders This Holiday Season
As all Brandermill leaf battlers know, the leaves are falling everywhere in Brandermill. Please remember to be mindful of the following rules:”Heavy accumulations of leaves in front yards, over finished landscaping, or that extend over pavement, curbs, ditches, and/or into the street, are not permitted.” – Residential Design Standards, 11.1.1 (E)

“Tree limbs, high weeds, piles of leaves and grass, or other debris are to be properly disposed of in a timely manner.” – Residential Design Standards, 11.1.1 (D)

Don’t blow or place debris or leaves in ANY common space! Don’t place leaves in ditches or in the street- this can cause a backup of water to occur. We want to keep our streets looking beautiful and our neighbors happy!

Smoke Alarm Safety
With the hustle and bustle of the holiday & plenty of cooking being done, remember to check your fire alarms! Smoke alarms only work properly when they are properly maintained. According to Hartford Insurance, we should be following these safety tips:
-Test units monthly
-Install new batteries immediately when the low-alarm warning alarm sounds or at least once a year
-Clean smoke alarms regularly by vacuuming them with a brush attachment
-Replace smoke alarms every 10 years to achieve optimum preference

We wish you all a fun and safe holiday!
