INTEREST GROUPS OPERATING PROCEDURES
Operating and forming Interest Groups and Clubs
DEFINITION/COMPOSITION: Any group of residents with a common interest in a hobby, social, cultural, or recreational activity.
ROOM RENTAL FEES: Room rental fees are typically waived for the first six months. After that, Interest Groups that have not yet chartered or become a formal club or are not eligible will begin paying Board approved rental fees to reserve a room. ( Room rental fees for Interest Groups will be discounted and set at 50% off the Association’s standard rate.)
ATTENDANCE REPORTING: Interest Groups/clubs must report monthly participation figures to Association Management. Interest Groups must have 15 members after six months to continue as part of the association Interest Group/Club Program.
INTEREST/CLUB MONITORS: Groups must designate a qualified club member to act as facility monitor while club activities are in progress. Monitors will oversee the check-in of all members and guests and ensure that all Association and club operating policies, rules & regulations are satisfied.
INTEREST/CLUB GUESTS: Groups must approve a guest policy that enables residents interested in joining the club to participate in club activities on a trial basis. Non-resident guests are not eligible for membership but may be invited to accompany a resident to a club meeting, subject to guest policies approved by the Club. During the development period of a new community, the Association reserves the right to enable prospective buyers to sample the community lifestyle through occasional participation in a program.
*A Complete set of guidelines and operating procedures will be provided to groups that seek to become Clubs. A formal Club application will be submitted at reviewed for approval at that time
