$1,000 Reward for Information
Chesterfield County Police Department needs your help in finding the person who fired a handgun on the Fourth of July that resulted in the death of 7-year-old Brendon Mackey. If your tip helps solve this case, you could earn a cash reward up to $1,000.
Shortly before 9 p.m. on July 4, Brendon Mackey was struck by a bullet fired randomly just prior to the fireworks show at Swift Creek Reservoir. The bullet that took the life of this child has been determined to be a .40 caliber class, full-metal jacket bullet. This class also includes 10mm rounds. The rifling on this bullet is mainly consistent with, but not limited to, pistols produced by the following firearm manufacturers: Glock, H&K, IMI, Kahr Arms, and Vector.
