When the doctor’s office is closed and a sick child needs immediate attention, Peds Care After Hours (PCAH), a new healthcare facility in Brandermill can be the solution.
Conveniently located at 2937 Fox Chase Lane across from Lucky’s, PCAH is open 365 days a year. It is a less expensive alternative to the emergency room for minor injuries and ailments like ear infection, asthma, croup, etc.
“We work in collaboration with your pediatrician,” says practice owner Dr. Jawed Iqbal. Our hours start after your pediatrician’s office is closed. In order to maintain a continuity of care, any care your child receives at PCAH will be shared with your child’s pediatrician.”
Dr. Iqbal is a board-certified pediatrician who has 23 years of experience in pediatrics.
Dr. Iqbal’s primary practice is located in Colonial Heights where he has practiced for 15 years. He also teaches medical students from Virginia Commonwealth University and as an adjunct assistant clinical professor he teaches physician assistant students from James Madison University.
PCAH has a child-friendly atmosphere. On-staff physicians are experienced and board certified pediatricians, and mid-level and ancillary staff are all experienced and well trained in pediatric care.
PCAH participates in all major insurance plans including Medicaid.
The practice is open Monday through Friday, 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday, Sunday and holidays, noon to 6 p.m. PCAH is a walk-in facility. Patients are seen on a first-come, first-served basis.
