Brandermill residents support Richmond Symphony fundraiserPosted August 9, 2012 at 5:19 PM, Filed Under: Front Page, Village Mill
Brandermill residents, Sylvia Geddes of Nuttree Woods, and Ellen Zinder of Bayport Landing Terrace are working with 18 Richmond area interior designers to help raise money for the Richmond Symphony.
As members of the Richmond Symphony Orchestra League, Zinder, co-chair of the designer liaison committee, and Geddes, designer liaison sub-committee member, will work with many volunteers to decorate the designer house which opens next month.
Hugh and Karen Catlett of Chimney House and Ludi Webber of Promontory Pointe are also involved in the fundraising event, handling bookkeeping.
This year, the Designer House is located at 3312 Robious Crossing Drive in Pinifer Park, Midlothian, Va. Built in 1909, the elegant country house was fashioned after a New England hunting lodge, and has been touted as “our own Downton Abby.”
The house opened August 2 for a Bare Bones party before the designers began work. A Gala Preview party will be held Friday, September 7, and on Monday, September 10, the house will open to the public through October 8.
