Brandermill Sailing Club
The Brandermill Sailing Club (BSC) is a non-profit organization consisting of members from Brandermill and the surrounding communities. We hold sailing regattas and fun sailing on the Swift Creek reservoir throughout the season. The Swift Creek Reservoir is a beautiful 1,700 acre lake bordered by the Woodlake, Brandermill and a few other communities, located in Midlothian, Virginia.
If you are new to sailing, the club offers sailing lessons at the start of each season. You do not need to own a boat to join; you are welcome to crew with one of our seasoned skippers during regattas or fun sails. Members sail both mono-hulls and catamarans, providing a variety of racing experiences.
We hold several social events throughout the year, giving members an opportunity to socialize with each other and with sailors from other clubs. Family members and friends are welcome to join in on all of our social events. We host full moon pontoon cruises, picnics at Sunday Park, an End of the Season party in January, and many other fun activities.
How to Join
Membership is open to anyone with an interest in sailing and their families. The majority of our members reside in the communities of Brandermill and Woodlake, but it is open to anyone in the region. You do not have to own a boat to join. Members receive discounted sailing lessons and can participate in all of our racing and social events. Club members have the opportunity to participate in a variety of social activities as well as sailing events. Most events are free to members or have a nominal cost associated with the activity.
