County issues emergency water restrictions starting Tues., Sept. 28

Due to the historically hot and unusually dry weather, coupled with the record low water levels in Lake Chesdin, the Appomattox River Water Authority requires that all member jurisdictions implement emergency water restrictions. (more...)

Resident Meeting Postponed

To all Brandermill Residents:

Due to the number of people now expected regarding the mailbox implementation and
the limited space at the Harbour Pointe Club House (also the football game between
Clover Hill High School and Cosby) the resident meeting for tonight, Friday September
17, 2010, will be postponed.

Arrangements are being made for resident input and discussion at a future meeting.

Harbour Pointe residents fall prey to check scam

In July, a young man went door-to-door in Harbour Pointe selling magazines so that he could raise money to play in a soccer tournament. He was supposedly representing Marquis Fulfillment Agency, LLC. At least three residents wrote him checks. (more...)


Where is the stop sign?

Saturday afternoon, over Labor Day weekend, county officials met at the intersection of Brandermill Parkway and Old Hundred Road across from the recently completed Kelly Green Road that leads to the new Clover Hill High School. They congregated to address a stop sign issue after they learned that a woman driving on Brandermill Parkway had sailed through the intersection without stopping and was nearly broadsided by vehicles on Old Hundred Road. (more...)
