Solicitation Warning
Posted January 11, 2013 at 4:19 PM, Filed Under: Front PageWarning
Recently, tree company employees have been going door-to-door in Brandermill telling homeowners that they are working in the area and can offer a “special price.” They may even tell homeowners that they know BCA rules and they have permission to cut trees that are diseased or too close to the home. Please be on guard as this is not true. The Brandermill General Covenants Part II, Paragraph 2 states, “No trees measuring six inches or more in diameter at a point two feet above ground level may be removed without the written approval of the Company (the BCA).”
Reminder
There is a no-solicitation policy in effect in Brandermill to prevent outside solicitors from going door-to-door in the community. However, Brandermill residents may apply for an exemption from the policy for charitable or nonprofit fundraising efforts for such organizations as scouts or schools.

Please call the BCA at 744-1035.
