The Chesterfield County Senior Advocate invites those who are raising grandchildren or relatives’ children to attend Grandparent Connection. This monthly support group meets the first Thursday of each month, 4:15 to 6 p.m., at the Chesterfield County Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court building, 7000 Lucy Corr Blvd.
During the meeting on December 6, Cpl. Tim Lamb of the Chesterfield County Police Department will speak about holiday safety. Free childcare is available and light refreshments will be served.
Caregiver Connection is a monthly support group offered by the Chesterfield County Senior Advocate’s Office in conjunction with Lucy Corr Village to address the needs of those who are caring for an adult with physical or cognitive deterioration. The group meets on the first Tuesday of each month, 4 to 5:15 p.m., in the Friendship Room at Lucy Corr Village Assisted Living at 6800 Lucy Corr Blvd.
During the meeting on December 4, attorney Charles E. Samuels will speak about Powers of Attorney, Advance Directives and other legal documents that should be in place when caring for a loved one. Refreshments will be served.
