VDOT crews are continuing repair work on Brandermill roads in a number of neighborhoods. They are currently working in McTyre’s Cove.
According to VDOT Residency Administrator Butch Sirry, roads will receive a multi-layer treatment beginning with cape seal, a tar and gravel application to strengthen the road and seal all cracks. Once the cape seal cures in about two weeks, slurry seal will be applied.
Sirry asks that residents be patient as uneven pavement and loose gravel will be on the roads and at the edges of the roads until the slurry seal is applied. During the process, parents are encouraged to keep children from bike riding, skateboarding or rollerskating on the roads.
Residents will or have received notification from VDOT prior to the start of roadwork in the following neighborhoods: Muirfield Green Drive, Court and Terrace; McTyre’s Cove Road, Place, Lane and Terrace; Winterberry Ridge; Harbour Pointe Parkway, Harbour Hill Road, Place; Harbour Lane; and Spinnaker Cove Road.
