At its July 9 meeting, the BCA Board voted to reallocate $4,500 from the Community Improvement Grant line item in the BCA budget and create a line item to fund the new Self-Help Policy regarding unkempt properties.

The Self-Help Policy, which will go into effect in September, will enable the association, after all legal avenues to achieve covenant compliance by the property owners have been exhausted, to hire contractors to tend to vacant properties that have become unsightly.
The fund will help address properties that are an eyesore and that affect an entire neighborhood’s property values.
